Nano and Micro Technologies, Inc. (N&M Technologies), founded in 2010 by Prof. Young Baek Kim, specializes in manufacturing and selling polymer materials, including silicone. Leveraging Prof. Kim's extensive expertise, the company has been continuously developing innovative products and supplying cosmetic ingredients to various companies.
In response to recent regulations on microplastics, N&M Technologies has focused on commercializing a new form of silica, QSIL, which offers entirely different properties from conventional precipitated silica. This effort is aimed at reducing the use of microplastics in cosmetic formulations.
N&M Technologies jointly produces products with Chemand, a leading cosmetic raw material company in Korea, ensuring both the reliability and high quality of its products. The company has also achieved success through partnerships with firms such as SID Biotech, Good Answer, COSONE, and SH Fine.
Currently, N&M Technologies focuses on manufacturing and selling products from the polysilsesquioxane family, particularly polymethylsilsesquioxane (PMSQ). This includes SESQ-ML, composed of PMSQ particles, and SESQ-MH5, PMSQ particles coated with silica to enhance skin feel and water absorbency. The company also produces QSIL, a perfectly spherical silica with a smooth, poreless surface that provides a superior feel and low water absorbency, making it an ideal replacement for microplastics. QSIL also contains almost no SiOH groups, which are considered harmful.
N&M Technologies remains committed to accelerating the development of various cosmetic raw materials and evolving into a company that consistently meets customer expectations with innovative products.
